Re: let us know you are here

hi, lil ol me
we are so glad to have you and hope that we can learn and grow together.
i think we all have something to share with each other that edifies the other.
i just started learning torah truths a couple of years ago. it is so refreshing to find truth. but at the same time it can be hard when we realize how deeply we have been deceived.

thankfully Armorbearer has made such a nice place for us where we can encourage and comfort each other during our walk on this narrow way.

praise yah

Re: let us know you are here

Hello,

Little about me. Recently scripturally realized that I am part of Israel and that His Torah is His Way and that I am to be obedient to it. I have also realized that man's ways and traditions are not Yahweh's Ways, that our ways are not His ways, but His ways should be desirable to us to become our ways. I have also realized how sad and pathetic I am all too often and I can't wait till I am in an uncorruptable body with Him for all eternity, but until then, His work I joyfully do, whatever that might be and whatever the circumstances might be.

I am looking forward to meeting you guys, we are few now, but prophecy dictates that we will be many nearing the end. We are on the cusp.

I am excited to be around as time dictates.

Currently on my reading/watching/listening list (I am about 20% done). I am screening them as possible resources to recommend to others. If anyone has comments to make regarding anything on the below as good/not good, please PM me, as I don't have time to waste on poor material.

Yes, Welcome to the forum jds6958, seems like you have a good base and YHWH is working in your life... its so great for me to see His hand in others lives...I pray you will join us in sharing and teaching one another as YHWH reveals and teaches us...I would like to recommend Michael Rood's teaching Jonah Code, and Elllis Skofields work too, while I don't agree with every word, so much truth is in both and untruth uncovered...again, welcome and thanks for joining us....

Thanks armorbearer - I have read Ellis Skofield's book, I think...Islamic perspective and the 1260/1290/1335 days as years right? I remember it being an interesting read.

I just burned Jonah Code from someone and several other Rood DVD's. At first his sight seemed somewhat 'flashy' but I have heard from several sources that his teachings are sound...I look fwd to examining his material as well...

thanks for the input and welcome...I expect to learn a lot here...my new perspective is only 1-2 months old, so I have much to learn. Suprisingly, the hardest part was becoming unbrainwashed...now scripture is so much easier with a Hebraic perspective...I still feel like an idiot for not getting this sooner...I guess I should have believed scripture when it said that Yahweh does not change, same always and forever and that He is not the author of confusion...

so glad to have you here jds6958 welcome.

actually wouldn't our brains be getting washed now
i do know what you mean about becoming unbrainwashed--- a lifetime's worth.

and i agree with you, scripture does come together much better when we change our greek thinking to hebrew thinking.

Welcome everyone!!! This site offers a ton of Biblical teaching! Dig in, read and post when you feel comfortable. (This also goes to everyone else that has not made any posts yet.) Several of us are also new to these understandings, so please post your questions, without fear of being judged by them. Many probably have the same questions that you do!

Re: let us know you are here

hi there to all you who have joined, I just checked and we have 25 members, I want to personally thank you all for joining us and I hope that the forum will be a blessing to you, some of you may not feel comfortable posting and I certainly understand that, but even if you don't post, your reading and joining us means a lot to me...when I first began, I thought that maybe, Big Ritchie and I would be the only ones on here... what a surprise to have so many wonderful brothers and sisters from all different places join us to learn about Torah, and the Father who loved us all enough to give us the fence of love it provides.... and how wonderful that He sent His son for us to have power over the adversary and over the flesh...without Yahshua we would be nothing....thanks again to you all, I pray for the forum and the members daily and I hope you all will too, these times we live in are perilous and we need to lift one another up, to edify and share our love our words and our prayers...

Re: let us know you are here

Hello Brothers and Sisters, and thanks to Bigrichie for inviting me.

As my screen name implies, I am still just a babe in Christ. I came to know the Lord Yeshua the Messiah as my Lord and Savior and was born again by the Spirit of God about a year ago. I've been eagerly seeking knowledge of Him ever since. I came from a background of agnostic parents. We didn't attend church at all and other than christmas trees easter eggs and school plays about baby Jesus, I had no knowledge of the Lord or His Word. My parents divorced when I was 16 and that left a deep scar in my heart and a bitterness that I turned on my perception of what God was. I always knew there was something more than just life then death and if I had been exposed to the Bible, I probably would have understood it but I had no clue other than what my own imagination could fathom and some strange sense that something much greater than myself was watching and in total control of everything. I used to look around in awe at the beauty of the Lord's creation and I even remember when I was very young maybe around 3-5, being in this warm presence that I couldn't explain most of the time. As I got older and more corrupted by the enemy and the world and more rebellious by my own fallen nature, that feeling slowly faded and I spent many years seeking it again. I was looking in all the wrong places. I tried everything except the Bible and Messiah. I read on everything I could get my hands on in regards to pagan religion, new age, druidism, wiccan you name it, I checked it out and dabbled in it. I stayed away from those areas that seemed too dark or on the side of evil but I had no idea that they were all tools of the enemy to draw me into hell. For a long time, I believed in the original lie from the father of lies in Genesis 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. I got sucked into a movie and book called "The Secret" and spent a couple of years trying to unlock my so-called "divine" nature and creative "power of the mind". I was completely deceived and reprobate and Praise God and Messiah that I got away from all of that. It took a very painful time in my life to draw me to the Lord. The first time I picked up a Bible seeking help from the Lord was during a separation from my wife which I thought was going to lead to divorce. I was in a motel room, had just lost my job, was running out of money, in the middle of December with below freezing temperatures at night and I was a complete wreck in all ways. I found the Gideons Bible in the desk drawer and turned to the index of life situations and passages to bring comfort when facing certain things. I ended up in Mathew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Even though I wasn't saved at the time, I got on my knees and I earnestly prayed that my family be restored and I claimed Matthew 21:22 for my marriage to be restored. I had no idea what I was doing at the time but I knew that there was power in the name of Jesus and I knew that if nothing else, he was a wise teacher. Over the next year, things got worse and I long forgot my prayer and the Lord's promise. One year later, I was in pain again and desperate for peace and I cried out to God for peace and a vision of a cross of bright white light appeared in front of my eyes and His name popped into my mind and I knew that my peace was in Yeshua so I called out to him. My pastor happened to work with me so I started asking him questions and within a month or so, I was Baptised. Oh yeah forgot to mention, the Lord restored my marriage the month before I got saved and my pastor had been witnessing to me for several weeks before that so miracle after miracle and when me and my wife got back together, I immediately remembered that evening in the motel room praying in tears and claiming Matthew 21:22 and I knew that God's grace was working in my life. I could go on and on about what the Lord has done in my life since then but for now I will let this be enough. I'm 37 years old, I live in SW Colorado, and I love the Lord with all my heart and hunger for knowledge of Him.

YBIC
Rob

Re: let us know you are here

now that was a great testimony, thanks for joining us and sharing... YHWH bless those Gideon's, and isn't YHWH wonderful. So often I think its easier to ge those who look over the fence for some kind of personal power, to see truth, for they are seekers, and sometimes YHWH works in mysterious ways... and the thing you said about as a child is very interesting... makes me wonder how many of us had spiritual experiences as children? I was 5 when I asked to have "salvation", though I knew absolutely nothing about what that might entail, I feel YHWH did and He kept His end of the "bargain" and brought me truth later in my life... if anyone else here has had some kind of childhood experience, please lets share it... just a curiosity...any way, welcome to you new one, I am so glad to have you with us... if you have questions about ANYTHING, please share them, we will research them if we don't know and we will love you in everything warts and all, thats the only rule around here... if the group wants to delete a post, we do it, but we don't ban people here, we'll unless you start posting porn or something, lol.. I don't think this group would go there...
again, welcome and looking forward to building , edifying , sharing and worshiping Father YHWH here with you and hopefully your wife too...

Re: let us know you are here

Welcome newlyborninChrist!! I am so glad that you are here and for BigRitchie sending out the invitation! Thanks for sharing your testimony with us. You know, it sounds like Yahweh had a plan for you to be at this point in your life and that He chose you at a very young age. It just took some time, all in His plan, for you to really cry out to Him and seek Him. I think that is why we go through trials...so that we seek Him for help and know that He will help us get through them.

I too, am pretty new to being born again...almost a year now. I was going through a very rough divorce at the time. I finally just gave it all to Him and asked for Him to help me, because I couldn't do it on my own...I needed Him in my life. This was the night that I was baptized. My life changed that day and my outlook on EVERYTHING! I can't tell you, the weight that I felt lifted off of my shoulders, when I came out of the water. I truly believed that I was giving my life to Him...handing over all of my problems for Him to help me with. The next day, I felt like I was walking on a cloud, I can't even describe it. I was so relieved to have Him in my life and take over.

I have been a Believer in Yehushua, for as long as I can remember. There have been several times in my life, that I was seeking Him and felt being drawn to Him. Then, after time, I would fall away, by my own faults. But, He has been patient with me and always tried to reel me back in. I am so thankful for that and especially that He brought me back, to my first love, before it was too late. So, to me, I think that so many of us were chosen and He is just waiting for us to truly come back to Him. Remember, He knew us before we were even born!

Now, I didn't get back with my ex like you. There was just too much physical and mental abuse with him and I don't feel that Yahweh would want me to stay in that relationship. But, Yahweh did help me by winning the battle over keeping primary custody of my children. My ex and I had to go through psychological, IQ tests and home visits of a psychiatrist. I am so thankful that my prayers were answered for this battle. Sure, we still have minor battles now and then. But the custody battle was big and I knew deep down in my heart, that I didn't have to worry about it. I knew that He would take care of it for me and He did and continues to do so!

You are going to be so happy to be here! You will learn so much on this forum about the Truth in the Bible. I welcome you here and look forward to your posts and questions. Just like armorbearer said, post any questions that you have. Several here are new, just like you and probably have had the same questions or will in the future.

Lynn
